I'm working extra this week and for the next few weeks too. 9-6 on Monday to Thursday as well as my regular shifts on Saturday to Sunday. Nice extra money for Christmas, though it's seriously cutting into my writing time (I'm finding time to get something down each night, though). Sort of bringing me onto my next point

It's nearly December and seeing as it's become tradition, I'm going to try and get a fic posted every day in December again, though the odds of succeeding again this year are diminished seeing as I have much less time (Fridays will totes be dedicated to writing now). If you want to go ahead and leave me a prompt (or several), I'm promising to at least try and take it on board (and if it doesn't get used up in December, I can always go back to it). Basically, throw some ideas at me and I'll see if I can come up with something.

Off to Paris Saturday until Tuesday for the Tour, to Manchester on Thursday for Olympic football and Friday-Saturday for the Olympic RR. I will be exhausted by the end of it, but I am so excited to head off. I bought my own brand new digital camera in preparation for all of the pictures that I will surely be taking. Now I'm just worried htta I've packed everything I don't need and nothing that I do need. I've got all my tickets and my hotel reservation and passport together so I should be okay as long as I have those. Money is just going in my purse now too. I think that's it. And, of course, there will ne no fic from me this weekend (maybe not even until next weekend), but I am still aiming to do fics for the last two stages of the Tour

JT excepted, of course (though he has apologised and I still love him, but he did screw up). They did exactly what they needed to do. They held what is supposed to be the best club team in the world for nearly an hour with ten men, after losing, through various circumstances, some of their most important players. They didn't give in after Barcelona scored twice and they got what they deserved in the end. And Barcelona. Cesc, you have the nerve to go down like that when you and your entire time have spent the last week complaining about Drogba diving and don't even get me started on you grabbing Lamps' leg like that. Puyol, regardless of you being the captain and having the best hair in the world, those incidents were nothing to do with you so you had no business getting so involved. Messi, seeing you miss that penalty almost gave me as much joy as seeing Berto get beat in a race- even those at the top can fail miserably sometimes and I think it's important for eevryone to see that. Having said that, Barcelona, I love you guys when you're playing for Spain (or whatever other nation you happen to play for). And those Chelsea goals? Ramires, you gave us hope and Nando, you're back :D And there's no discussing this game without mentioning the awesomeness that is Petr Cech

On to the next sport- Brad. Winning a sprint stage. I'm still trying to work out how (and being pouty because I missed it to go to work- just thinking of the extra money). And I may have had a brief thought of 'Wonder if he's gonna go for green at the Tour now too'. And now he's leading. Might look into putting a bet on him to win the Tour this year

And something completely different. Bought some sleeping tablets (the lack of proper sleep is finallly getting to me that much) and it says on the packet something along the lines of 'Might cause sleepiness' and I was all 'They better fucking had do'

I've been doing a bit of a clearout and now I've got a pile of books sat at the end of my bed. I'm gonna be getting rid of them one way or the other so I thought I might as well make a list here and see of anyone is at all interested in any of them

The list )

It would be nice to make a bit of money from this, but I am currently also willing to accept paid account time or icon space in return. Or some other deal. If anyone is at all interested then you can message me and we'll work something out

... getting up early. I can deal with cuts and bruises and scrapes. I can deal with lifting heavy boxes. I can deal with that and the other crap that comes as part of my job. What I can't deal with though, is the mouthy, whiny customers who think it's my job to magically sove their problems immediately. I gave you solutions to your problem and I apologised, but there was literally nothing else I could do (as I told you several times)- that is no excuse to wonder off, muttering about how I'm in the wrong. I swear to God, I almost screamed. If it wasn't for the customers, my job would be pretty good. Having said that, I did come across a couple of nice customers later on so it's not everyone, but I seriously wanted to yell basically all the time I was at work this weekend and now I'm tired. All day nap tomorrow, I think

Have stomach cramps, but painkillers have kicked in so not that bad anymore. Still not really looking forward to work tomorrow with this, though, but hopefully the painkillers will get me through that too. Or I'll call in and say that I'm sick and then stay in bed all day. Either way, I'm sure I'll get by

Productive week for fic-writing, though. I've managed to get something written every day and finished a few things and now I get to make even more tags!

Which is nice. See, the thing was, I was in work last weekend (only New Year's Eve, not New Year's Day because we were closed) and I looked at the rota and my name wasn't there so I thought that I was finished there (they did say when I first started that it was only temporary until after Christmas) so I went in today to hand in my locker key and knife and they were all O_o so after a bit of checking, apparently it was just a mess up (they missed my name off the rota) and I am, in fact, still working there (for this weekend at least, but they did keep saying today that I was permanent so that's a good sign, right?)

New TV aerial came today and I bought a new extension lead for my room so I'll have fun playing with electrical things later.

Might have accidentally bought some DVDs while I was in town, too. I got Lost season 4 because it was only £6. I have seasons 1-3 so I feel like I should own them all even though I lost faith in the show somewhere in season 3.

My cold is mostly gone now *touches wood* but the weather here has been terrible so I've spent most of this week sat on the sofa watching tennis (they've shown Federer and Nadal matches every day this week so that's nice) and writing fic

I am sick. It's just a cold and not so bad at the moment, but enough to make me miserable. It's either going to disappear completely tomorrow or get a whole bunch worse. I've got my fingers crossed for the former

I don't care what anyone says, Pepe Reina is always fucking awesome

Remember that story I was writing where cyclists were like the X-Men? Yeah, well, that's back on. I wrote about 1000 words for it today. I'm suddenly all inspired for that again because certain other things are impacting on certain other stories because certain other people are being uncooperative *glares pointedly in the directions of Texas, Spain and Luxembourg* You know who you are!

Starting to re-watch Supernatural. As much as I love Castiel, I think the earlier seasons are better. None of Jared's giant forehead and permanently confused look, for a start

Our shelves are not a place to put your rubbish so an especially big fuck you to the people who left the McDonalds wrappers today, the Subway cups last weekend and the half-finished portions of chips last weekend too

Sincerely, a royally pissed off employee (no, seriously, I am in epic bad mood today)

On a happier note, though, I think one of the managers might look a bit like Frank Lampard, which is nice, if slightly distracting

I've also started my Christmas shopping, even  earlier than usual. I feel proud.

So I'm probably going to be one of those actual job-having people. Charlie, who's the manager at where I'm doing my work experience, tells me yesterday they could offer me an actual job, but it would have been the early one from 6 until 10 in the morning four days a week.  Now, the getting up early wouldn't have been fun, but it would have been doable (this, after all, is why there is coffee in the world), but I wasn't sure what time the buses started from so I said I'd check and get back to him today. So I checked and there aren't any buses that would enable me to get in for 6 so he tells me that I could do weekends instead (that would be 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday). I don't know much more than that at this point- like what actual hours I'll be working or what the pay is exactly or stuff like that and I have this application form to fill out for tomorrow and hopefully everything will be okay and I'll start this weekend (I don't see what could be a problem, but I'll properly see tomorrow).

On the bad side of things, there was an accident or two on the motorway so traffic was a nightmare so no buses were turning up so I was waiting at the bus station for an hour before eventually caving and walking home so now I'm tired so I ordered Smallvill season 9 and Supernatural season 6 to cheer myself up

Not so much work nor experience today. It was just an induction meeting thing so I got told about the safety info and shown around the store/warehouse area and that was it. So I was only there for maybe 20 minutes or so. Proper start tomorrow morning. Had time to get some more appropriate work type shoes and a different shirt to wear tomorrow. Now, I'm sleepy

So this morning, I had a meeting at the JobCentre at 10:30. It was only supposed to take 10 minutes and that part of it actually did. Except then there was this note in my file saying to ask me about these work experience placements (seeing as I have no experience) so that took a bit longer. And then I went shopping (food shopping, that is) with my dad and we brought everything home and then I had to go to the interview for this work experience placement (which didn't last long and I'm totes in there, starting Monday) and then back to the JobCentre to sort the expenses and then to the Post Office to get the first money for my bus tickets and then back home. So, in conclusion, I have been up since 9:30 (and not counting being woken up by my brother leaving for work and various car/house alarms throughout the night) and only properly got back home at 2:30 in the afternoon and have only just finished lunch. So, yeah, tired.

In other news, though, from Twitter it looks like George will be going to the TdF route presentation. I demand that he sit next to Cav this year (because Cav should also go, but IDK whether he actually is yet or not) and they be all adorable together
